hey! how are you?
I'm Laurel (they/them), a transit advocate, writer, and semi-professional quiz bowler currently in high school in San Jose, Calif. You can find me riding transit or watching baseball around the Bay Area more than anywhere else. Hablo un poco Español, 我会一点中文。I make public transit wayfinding tools and write about local public transit issues as a hobby. I have been fascinated with maps and diagrams since I was a little kid, and I'm thrilled to now have the capability to work on bigger and better map projects. You can see my design work and all of my writing work here. I'm currently in the process of riding and reviewing every regular bus route in my county -- see my progress here.

I make transit maps on the side as a hobby. Here are some of my favorite highlights of these maps, all with connected writeups on Substack. For the maps below, click on each of them to view their associated write-ups!
commissions
Have a burning idea for a certain crayon or map? I'm open for commissioned diagrams! DM me on Discord, Bluesky, or Instagram first -- if none of these work, then go with email.
The Jewelbox Scorecard
Scoring baseball is my favorite part of the sport. It's a dying art form, and allows for such a brilliant amount of creativity in understanding and interpreting the game.Frustrated with some of the existing templates, I designed my own version of the classic baseball scorecard last summer, which I'm tentatively calling the Jewelbox Scorecard. The scorecard comes with a full-page guide on how to score a baseball game as well. These cards are completely free to use and share, as long as you attribute appropriately. If you have suggestions, feel free to contact me @3errs on Discord or Bluesky.Download the Jewelbox Scorecard here!Play ball!
